The Wilson100 Classic is named after Scott Wilson, one of the past presidents of the Southern Bicycle League who made tremendous contributions to improving cycling in the Atlanta area. Scott Wilson was in his late 30’s when he passed away in September 1986 of cancer. This being the original SBL Century ride that started in the 1970’s was re-named for Scott in 1987.
In honor of Scott Wilson the Southern Bicycle League will be donating a percentage of the ride proceeds to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Georgia Chapter.
For 2016 Team in Training will be part of the Wilson100. They are the largest endurance sports training program in the world and will provide you with the experience of a lifetime. In exchange for training and support, you help raise money towards cures for blood cancers like leukemia — the No. 1 disease killer of children — lymphoma and myeloma.
